Landon Metz (American, b. 1985) is a transdisciplinary, conceptual artist living and working in New York City. His work investigates ontological questions of space, duration and movement. Throughout his career thus far, Metz has garnered critical attention for his painting-based practice, often implementing architectural interventions, produced in dye and canvas, advancing traditions of American abstraction. In Metz’s images, forms span multiple panels wrapping impossibly from one border of the canvas to the other - top to bottom, or left to right - hanging in adjoining sequences. The arrangements trace the contours of architecture with occasional disregard for its surface, portals, or obstructions. They invite the viewer to reflect on how they process and inhabit space, both visually and bodily.“My practice is largely about breaking down polarities, and I think that’s apparent in the way I present space. It’s about negotiating between setting and subject, public and private.”

In the wake of the birth of his son and the passing of his father, Metz returns to a powerful mode of communication he learned early in life - music. Six Days At The Orange House is a deeply personal piece, a sonic catalog of a week Metz spent in Copenhagen during the autumn of 2022. Throughout the work, Metz explores similar themes in music as an extension of his painting and installation practice. Six Days At The Orange House is a record - a personal narrative made transcendent, juxtaposing pain and longing with hope and gratitude. Like his paintings, each track is produced by hand with care, evidenced in its occasionally irregular metre and organic repetitions. The overall enveloping texture of its sound speaks to Metz’s ability to immerse the listener in a distinctly human, poetic narrative. The album is both immensely personal and universal
- a rendering of place with story through tonal sequences, memories, echos, emotions.

	SENSITIVE FRIENDS - PART A
Sensitive Records announces the release of its inaugural compilation curated by Copenhagen based multi disciplinary creative and Sensitiveconductor, Kasper Bjørke. The compilation, Sensitive Friends, contains 12 compositions by various artists from across the world and is set to be released in two parts.

"I’m thrilled to present the very first compilation and it’s been a wonderful journey curating these pieces to showcase what Sensitive is all about,” says Kasper Bjørke. "This collection represents a convergence of diverse artistic visions, unified by a shared commitment to exploring the sonic frontiers of ambient."

Part A, to be released on June 28th, will be taking the listener on a mesmerizing journey through soundscapes crafted by both established and emerging talents from Copenhagen, Paris and Mexico City. Including a wide array of sonic exploration and emotional depth, from the intricate modular synthesis explorations by Simon Littauer on the opening piece “Melo” to mesmerizing choir arrangements of the duo Philipp Schneider on “Planètes: Improvisation 1” which was written for a dance performance which recently premiered in France. Renowned ambient artist Sofie Birch takes you on a intense and explorative sonic voyage drenched in lush field recordings - and solo artist Langstrakt, known for his work a part of Kasper Bjørke Quartet, delivers a beautiful minimalistic piece in a Eno-esque vein. Cedric Elisabeth, a rising French artist with base in Paris, who has previously released music on both techno and ambient paths and has created a beautiful and dreamy piece and Mexican dj and artist Alf Champion along with MDHNTR contributes with an abstract work, adding layers of complexity and intrigue to the compilation's rich tapestry of sounds.Digital releasedate: June 28th 2024
Sensitive Friends Part B will be released in the fall of 2024.

	SENSITIVE FRIENDS - PART B
Sensitive Records is thrilled to announce the release of the second installment in the series, Sensitive Friends. The compilation, set to be released on October 11th, showcases a collection of ambient pieces from both renowned and emerging artists hailing from Denmark and Germany, pushing the boundaries of what ambient music can be.

The album opens with the ethereal sounds of Danish artist Anna Roemer, whose unique approach to the guitar on “Underjordisk” creates stunning sonic landscapes that invite listeners into new auditory realms. The acclaimed composer and producer Ormen, known for his unique analogue tape recordings and as part of the Danish cult-trio Balstyrko, skillfully layers string samples by Italian composer Davide Rossi before delving into extraordinary synth-padded soundscapes on “Trumpling.” Adding to the compilation's diverse offerings, German electronic maestro Panthera Krause contributes “Have A Great Weak,” a mesmerizing piece infused with a lush, melodic aesthetic and rich, cinematic quality, reminiscent of 1980s movie soundtracks.

The new duo project Niveau brings a long crescendo with “A Walk in the Park,” drawing listeners into a captivating, dreamy world through its intricate patterns and evolving soundscapes. Kasper Bjørke contributes “Skogsbostigan (010324),” a piece that blends ethereal ambient drones with distant Wurlitzer tones and nature sounds, evoking the serene experience of a quiet forest hike.

The compilation concludes with “Orion’s Dance” by Danish multi-instrumentalist El Agua Es Profunda. This blissful Sun Ra homage takes listeners on a trippy journey beyond the stars, providing a fittingly transcendent finale to the release.

	KASPER BJØRKE: BÚÐIR
With his upcoming four track EP Heimr, Danish producer Kasper Bjørke returns to ambient territory, unveiling an expansive sonic journal composed amid the elemental grandeur of Iceland. Set for release on his own Sensitive platform on October 10th, the EP reflects Bjørke’s continued exploration of site-specific sound - a dialogue between place, memory, and the porous boundary between inner and outer worlds.Búðir is the first single, out September 12th. “Búðir was born from a pivotal (re)union,” Bjørke says, “a return to a place I first visited 15 years ago.” Tucked between lava fields, mountains, and a storm-battered coastline - overlooked by the ancient glacier Snæfellsjökull - the site evoked a powerful sense of completion, of homecoming. “I tried to channel that emotion into the music, while honoring that special moment,” he explains. After completing the track, Bjørke shared it with composer Henrik Lindstrand, his most recent collaborator, who spontaneously contributed a delicate piano theme. “That completed the piece,” Bjørke adds. Búðir is a quietly moving meditation - simultaneously cinematic and intimate.
The Icelandic word Heimr, borrowed from Old Norse, holds multitudes: it can mean “home” or “world,” both intimate and infinite. That tension - the pull between rootedness and the unknown - runs through the record like wind threading a mountain pass.

Composed during a summerlong journey across Iceland’s raw and remote northwestern coast, Heimr is Bjørke’s second ambient work for Sensitive Records, following last year’s contribution to the Sensitive Friends compilation, his track “Skogsbostigen” (010324).
On Heimr, nature is more than a backdrop; it becomes a collaborator. Field recordings made on location - wind, sea, waterfalls, silence - emerge not as adornments but as vital co-narrators, grounding each composition in specific geographies while hinting at something universal. In an era increasingly shaped by AI-generated creations, Bjørke’s organic, human approach feels quietly radical: sound not synthesized, but discovered in conversation with the land. Each site is also depicted in the accompanying artwork, shot by Kasper on analog film, while on the road in Iceland.
With Heimr, Bjørke carves out a contemplative space where music becomes memory and landscape becomes language. It is a work that invites us to listen more deeply - to the world around us, and the world within. Heimr (Music for Landscapes 1) is supported by Koda Kultur.

With his upcoming four track EP Heimr, Danish producer Kasper Bjørke returns to ambient territory, unveiling an expansive sonic journal composed amid the elemental grandeur of Iceland. Set for release on his own Sensitive platform on October 10th, the EP reflects Bjørke’s continued exploration of site-specific sound - a dialogue between place, memory, and the porous boundary between inner and outer worlds.Anchored by the awe-inspiring Dynjandi waterfall, located at the end of a secluded, rugged fjord in Iceland’s Westfjords, Bjørke’s on-site field recordings serve as the second single´s spine, allowing the cascade’s sonic energy to dictate pace and texture - a natural drone of rushing water and reverberating stone.
The Icelandic word Heimr, borrowed from Old Norse, holds multitudes: it can mean “home” or “world,” both intimate and infinite. That tension - the pull between rootedness and the unknown - runs through the record like wind threading a mountain pass.

Each site is also depicted in the accompanying artwork, shot by Kasper on analog film, while on the road in Iceland.

Búðir“Búðir was born from a pivotal (re)union,” Bjørke says, “a return to a place I first visited 15 years ago.” Tucked between lava fields, mountains, and a storm-battered coastline - overlooked by the ancient glacier Snæfellsjökull - the site evoked a powerful sense of completion, of homecoming.

DynjandiAnchored by the awe-inspiring Dynjandi waterfall, located at the end of a secluded, rugged fjord in Iceland’s Westfjords, Bjørke’s on-site field recordings serve as the track’s spine, allowing the cascade’s sonic energy to dictate pace and texture - a natural drone of rushing water and reverberating stone.

EyjafjörðurNamed after a serene bay on Iceland’s north coast, where snow-draped mountains cradle still waters that shimmer beneath the midnight sun. Bjørke spent time immersed in the calm, and the resulting track captures its weightless, dreamlike atmosphere. It also incorporates fragments from an earlier, unreleased work created in collaboration with Langstrakt, Bjørke’s partner in the Kasper Bjørke Quartet, who have released two ambient albums via Kompakt Records.

FlateyriNamed after a small, remote village nestled among the dramatic peaks of the Westfjords. “The journey to Flateyri is long and difficult,” Bjørke notes, “and it feels like a place that could be completely cut off in winter.” Yet the music doesn’t dwell in isolation. Instead, it conveys the quiet harmony of a community living in rhythm with its surroundings—rolling mountains that resemble sound waves. The track’s subtle textures and melodic restraint reflect the quiet dignity of both the landscape and its people.

With Heimr, Kasper Bjørke carves out a contemplative space where music becomes memory and landscape becomes language. It is a work that invites us to listen more deeply - to the world around us, and the world within.

Heimr (Music for Landscapes 1) is supported by Koda Kultur.
